Mira Costa’s girls wrestling team had seven of the eight girls on the team place in the South High Hills Holiday tournament on January 3rd. Sophomore Bianca LeBosnoyani lead the team with the first place finish.

In addition to a first place finish by LeBosnoyani, there were four seventh place finishes, one fifth and one second place finish. LeBosnoyani said the girls were very pleased and impressed with themselves as they are all freshmen and sophomores in a very competitive varsity tournament.

“This was a huge victory for us and it really showed how great we are and can be,” LeBosnoyani said. “It will be interesting to see if we can keep this up and I have no doubt that we will and we will be giving it all.”

The Mustangs, now 4-0 overall, will play against Beverly Hills High School at home on Thursday.  LeBosnoyani said the girls are really looking forward to the season and they hope to keep competing and training as hard as they can.

“I am very excited for this season and I know our team is capable of great things,” LeBosnoyani said. “As long as we keep training as hard as we can I have no doubt that we will have some good results.”
