Mira Costa’s boys basketball team fell to Inglewood 63-49 in an away game on Friday. The top performers were senior point guard Brandon Chan and junior shooting guard Bobby Barkley.
Costa fell behind 15-30 by the end of the first half and was unable to catch back up, losing the game 63-49. According to senior guard Ryan White, Chan did a great job attacking the basket and creating space for our offense.
“We did a good job of containing their drives to the basket and limiting them to one shot for the most part,” Chan said.
The Mustangs, now 10-8 overall and 1-2 in Bay League, will next play Redondo High School at home game on Tuesday. White said, the next game against Redondo will be tough but the team is going to regroup.
“We are going to get a game plan to try and get a win at home Tuesday night,” White said.
