The Mira Costa Mustangs girls’ soccer team played their fourth game of the season on December 6 at El Segundo. The game finished in a 2-2 tie.
Tough defense created an early stalemate. However, El Segundo pulled ahead with one goal. The Mustangs recovered in the second half when sophomore Taylor Foland scored. Senior Kendall Richter added a goal to give Costa the lead. El Segundo would not be defeated and scored a final goal to finish the game in a 2-2 tie.
Sophomore Taylor Foland and senior Kendall Richter both scored a goal. Both goals were the second of the season for Foland and Richter. Their scores allowed the Mustangs to stay in the game.
The Mustangs (2-0-2) play again at Bishop Montgomery on Dec. 7.
