The Mira Costa girls volleyball team faced off against San Clemente on Nov. 11 in the second round of CIF but was unable to emerge victorious. Costa’s loss marked the end of the season with a final record of 21-10.
Costa competed at home and lost in four games with scores of 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, and 14-25.
Senior Emma White led the team with 250 kills. Seniors Ella Rosenfeld and Jace Pardon contributed to the team with 174 and 169 kills, respectively.
Despite the Mustangs’ loss, team members feels that they had a successful season, especially in the Durango Classic and California Challenge tournaments.
“I’m so proud of our seniors, especially Emma White. She was a leader that motivated her team through many of our victories,” coach Lisa Zimmerman said.
