Freshman golfer Megan Kim missed a spot in the fourth round of CIF individuals with a score of 89 at La Purisma Golf Club in Lompoc on Nov. 9.

“I’m displeased with my play in individuals, but I’m happy with this year’s season,” Kim said.

Kim was the girls’ lowest scoring golfer during the season. She is now focusing on improving her ranking, which is among the top 50 in her age group in the nation.

The team won its first Bay League title in over eight years, with help from junior Chari Noddings and sophomores Kari and Raquel Gordon. In team CIF, they placed fifth in pool play but failed to continue on.

“We really bonded as a team this year. Even though CIF didn’t work out, I’m proud of our season,”
Noddings said.

With the entire team returning next year, Costa will be shooting for a longer run in the CIF Playoffs and a win at the Bay League Finals.
