Mira Costa’s baseball team defeated the San Pedro Pirates, 3-1 on Monday at home. A key performance from sophomore pitcher Christian Bodlovich helped Costa shutout San Pedro until the very end.

Bodlovich pitched the entire game and had a no hitter going into the seventh inning when he let up his first hit. He only allowed one run and two hits in the game. The middle of the batting order did a good job at getting runs across according to senior right fielder Kohl Titzler.

“We had a lot of opportunities to score more runs today that we didn’t capitalize on and that’s something we will work on in the future,” Titzler said.

The Mustangs, now 4-1 overall, will play Culver City at home on Tuesday March 14th. Senior pitcher James Tullio said the team played well and and it was a good team win.

“Today we did a better job at getting a lead early on in the game compared to the game on Saturday,” Titzler said.
