Morgan recently participated in Spotlight, a scholarship and training program, for active members in the arts. She advanced through several rounds of auditioning until she eventually had to stop advancing due to scheduling problems for choir.
“Spotlight was such an amazing experience for me,” Morgan said. “The opportunity in general made me so excited, and as I started to progress more and more, it became so much more real and thrilling to see.”
Morgan originally started singing as a child, just for fun; however, as time progressed she aimed to continue with more rigor. At age ten, her parents encouraged her to start taking singing lessons. From there, she started to progress in her career by taking choir at Mira Costa, for three years now.
“Singing, to me, is such an indescribable feelings, I just feel the happiest whenever I am singing,” Morgan said. “I feel so comfortable whenever I do since I’m truly just in my element and it makes so much sense to me.”

“That was such an important moment for me, it was so great to see my hard work pay off,” Morgan said. “I love what I do and the amount of support I have received is amazing and just leaves me speechless.”
She aims to continue pursuing the arts while in college, for musical theatre. Eventually, Morgan wants to combine her passion for theatre with her passion for singing, and participate in musical theatre, especially on broadway.
