Mira Costa Girls Beach Volleyball defeated Palos Verdes High School with scores of 21-5, 21-10, 21-5, 21-6, 21-8, 21-4 on Monday at 3rd street Manhattan Beach. The team was assisted by the top performances from senior, Alexia Inman and senior Maddie Micheletti who each scored multiple points.

There was a total of three teams and they won a total of six games during their first bay league of the season. Senior, Alexia Inman said that each team played efficiently and they knew how to put the ball down and they didn’t play down to the opposing team’s level.

“I believe that the team’s performance was extremely focused and well executed,” senior, Sunny Villapando said. “The advice we get from our coach was a huge component to our success.”

The team worked on getting first ball side out kills and making Palos Verdes move around to hit the ball. Inman started off receiving and she got the first kill, focusing on tough serving. They exceeded their goal which was to keep P.V. at or below 10 points.

“The game was a really great start to our season and it was our 56th win in a row,” Inman said. “Once the team nails down serving and serve receiving we are going to be an unstoppable force.”
