Mira Costa’s baseball team lost to Peninsula High School on Friday in a home game. Top performances came from junior pitcher Jesse Storey and senior right fielder Kohl Titzler.
Costa evened the score 1-1 in the first inning and kept it that way until Peninsula scored twice in the top of the fourth. Storey started the game and recorded ten outs in three innings.
“Our defense was good,” Titzler said. “However, we just need to focus on offense right now because our defense and pitching has been solid all season.”
The Mustangs, now 9-5 overall, will play Oaks Christian in an away game on Monday. According to Titzler, The team struggled on offense and will need to focus for the upcoming game.
“We definitely could have hit better today,” Titzler said. “We have to get more consistent if we want to start putting teams away.”
