Manhattan Beach Unified School District retired employee Herb Hinsche passed away on March 29 due to unknown causes.
Hinsche served for 40 years within the district, working between Mira Costa High School and Aviation Middle School. He served as a teacher, administrative member, Vice Principal and interim Principal.
“Herb was here a long time and did some great things, “ Costa Principal Dr. Ben Dale said. “He was a great leader and everyone who knows him has an interesting story to go with his name.”
Hinsche’s memorial will be on April 15 at El Torito, Manhattan Beach from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. celebrating his life from 1944 to 2017.
“His best quality is that he was good at developing leadership capacity,” Dale said. “He knew how to recruit talented people and put them in right positions in order to help our kids here at Costa.”
