Sarah Toomey / Photo Essay / La Vista April 25, 2017 La Vista La Vista Photo Essays 0 Volunteers at the Manhattan Beach Roundhouse show people the different sea life and give information on things going on at the aquarium. The aquarium brought sea stars so little kids could touch them without hurting them. All the booths lined up throughout Polliwog Park so many local people could see what people around the community are doing and get information on things they can do to help the Earth. The Earth Day event happened on Saturday April 22 and many people around the South Bay came to get together with their community and help the Earth. Workers at Sunlife explain the different kinds of juices to many people and tell them the different things it helps with in your body. They brought many different samples for people to try including orange juice and many other kinds of juices. One local brought lots of trash that ruins our ecosystem to tape onto themselves to show how many things ruin our Earth. They were making an art piece out of all the trash to repurpose it and not let it go to waste. Many local singers perform at the Earth Day celebration so everyone could enjoy looking at all of the booths with music. Many of the musicians had songs about recycling and helping our earth in celebration of Earth Day.
