This room had a small ladder propelling into the water for easy access and an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt after a swim. A flight arriving in Bora Bora is close to arriving at the local airport that is surrounded by crystal clear, turqouise waters. The flight departed from Los Angeles where the people waited 11 hours to finally reach their destination. The airport in which the plane lands is on its own little island in Bora Bora where boats await the passengers to take them to their hotels. After a long ride, the beautiful water and boats greeted the people coming from LA. On the way to the hotel, tourists are spoken to about what they are passing while being able to see most of Bora Bora. The Ray family approached their hotel, the St.Regis, where more beauty awaited them. Workers at the hotel greet the tourists with great manners and hospitality to make for an even more enjoyable stay. The people greeted the family with plumeria scented hand towels and some freshly squeezed tropical juice. Once guests check in, they are told to wait in a designated area for a golf cart to take them and their luggage to the their overwater bungalows. The Rays waited for their cart to come pick them under a shaded cabana while also looking over the beautiful water. The entrance to the bungalows provide shade, storage, a beautiful view, and bikes for guests to easily move around. The hotel provided the Rays with four bikes to perfectly fit their needs of a family of four. Once in the bungalow, the room is very spacious with a master bedroom, a living room with pull out beds, a large bathroom, and lastly a beautiful back patio. The Rays stayed in a basic room in which all of those ammenties were included. The back patio has a view of the other over water bungalows, but is secluded enough to provide guests with privacy. The beach at this hotel is surrounded by clear waters, palm trees, and lots of white sand. After exploring their room, the Rays headed to the beach to experience more beauty and get a better feel for the French Polynesian life style.
