They later went on to say how they are studying teenagers now to see if their brain development is different from previous generations. Director of Student Services, Nicole Wesley, speaks about how important it is to learn about the affects of technology at such a young age. The documentary was opened to parents and children from Manhattan and Redondo Beach. The movie “ScreenAgers” talks about how social media is affecting kids and how to help them. Many elementary children and parents came to learn about how to enforce rules on technology. Parents and School Board members Robin St. Germain and Sandi Gleason share about the high demand of the screening of this movie again in the community. They later when on to talk about how important it is to keep the family connected in social media. The program South Bay Families Connected tells parents how they can talk to their children about problems or how the child can talk to the parent. Wesley later went on to say she has referred many members of the community to this program.
