Ashley Saros / Photo Essay / Beginning Journalism May 15, 2017 La Vista Beginning Journalism 0 We are on our way to the Foam Run which is a 5k takes place in Pomona, CA. It took about an hour and a half to get there because of the traffic. People put different colored face paint on and we wearing glow sticks so that when it is dark outside you will glow. They had all different colors on. When we arrived it was 5:30 so I was still very light out. The race started at 8:00 pm because it was dark out so you would glow. The machines turned on when it started getting darker and my friend Shelby was blowing the glowing foam at the camera. The foam was all different colors. In this photo the foam machine is going off and the color is green. People were running through the the foam because when it got on your shirt or skin it would glow. People were waking to the starting line. We had to wait and hour because the race did not officially start until 8pm or until it was dark outside. The first station is blowing out pink foam. Each station was a mile marker so at every mile there was different color foam to run through that went over your head. After most people finished the race it was dark outside so everyone was glowing. The black lights were turned on which made everyone that was wearing white glow. The race was over and an after party was held in the main area and this ended at 11:45pm. The glowing bubbles were turned on again which made everyone’s skin glow even more.
