The tents are set up and sleeping bags are put into the tents by the Relay for life teams. People on the teams slept in the tents with their blankets and sleeping bags.When people are not walking the track, they are sitting and talking or playing different games. Team Tumor Kaboomers had many different games to play and places to sit and talk.9th graders are taking a break from walking and are having a good time with each other’s company. They posed for a picture and were getting ready to walk again.9th grader, Linnea Wee is playing cards while taking a break from walking the track all day. She had her own game to play cards with by herself.People from other teams are playing all sorts of games including spike ball and throwing a football. Many teams had different games to play to keep themselves occupied during the 24 hours.A mix of people from different teams walking the track for Relay for Life to show that cancer never sleeps. People walked all day and all night long for Relay for Life.Snacks are put out for people at Relay for life to eat during the day. Teams brought their own snacks and drinks for their teams to stay hydrated and healthy during relay for life.Girls on Team Tumor Kaboomers are all decked out in purple for their team color. They had their hair spray painted, purple beads, purple stickers, purple headbands, and team shirts.White paper bags are decorated and candles are placed in them for them to light up at night. The bags were placed in the shape of the word “hope” to be hopeful that there will be a world without cancer.
