Team captain and junior Zach Goldstein led Knock Out Cancer, a team comprised of 16 juniors, for their fifth consecutive year. The team raised a total of $3,205.
“I wanted to participate in Relay because when I first heard about it, it sounded like a really fun event that I could do with my friends,” Goldstein said. “Relay is also all for a really great cause that I care about, which makes me want to join even more.”
The team members plan to stay together for next year’s Relay For Life and work harder to raise more money than they did this year, Goldstein said. Also, Relay for Life is an important event for him because it advocates for a solution to cancer, and multiple members of his family have been diagnosed with cancer, said Goldstein.
“The best part about doing Relay for Life is just being able to have fun with your friends for 24 hours while knowing that all you are doing is to help end cancer, which is just a really good feeling,” Goldstein said. “I love how my friends and I are having fun and working toward a good cause.”
