The Mira Costa boys basketball team lost to Palm Desert High School in an away game on Dec. 11. The Mustangs have a season record of 2-3 without any Bay League games.

The Mustangs came up short with a score of 62-67. The game turned out to be very close but the Aztecs stole the win in its final moments. Senior Elliot Ozer contributed 25 points and seven rebounds accompanied by senior Thomas Johnson who added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Costa will be traveling to Palos Verdes on Dec. 14 to play in the Palos Verdes Hilltop Classic tournament. Their first game will be against Newport Harbor but throughout the tournament they will compete against various high schools and a Bay League team.
