1) Mira Costa vs Redondo swim meet taking place at the home of Mira Costa. Students from all grades competed against their rivals to try and bring home the win.
2) Redondo students coming in from their school possessing ground on the other side of the pool. Redondo students worked hard along with Costa’s in the last meet of the year.
3) JV student warming up in Costa’s warm up lane before the meet starts. Students warmed themselves up at every meet in order to keep their muscles ready for a great swim.
4) Captain of the Varsity swim team leads the whole entire team in a cheer before the meet starts. The swimmers came together to support one another in their individual races.
5) Varsity Swimmers getting ready for their back entry to start their back swim. Swimmers always started off in the water when swimming back for their individual race.
6) JV swimmer dives in off the block starting the second part of the individual medley. Swimmers swam the medley including strokes of free, fly, breast, and back.
7) Girls 200 medley free, Costa gets third place leaving us to place for that event. Swimmers swam their hardest even though Redondo took the win for second and first place.
8) Head Coach Ali talking to her swimmers after they just finished their last race. Coach Ali gave constructive criticism to the swimmers but also congratulated them for trying their hardest.
9) Varsity swimming the 500m free at a steady pace since it is the longest race at the event. The 500m is a 20 lap event making it very difficult for even an experienced swimmer.
10) Beside the action of the swimmers are the timers and judges in a tent making sure their is no disqualifications. These people are specially trained to make sure that everything is fair so you can focus on having a good time.
