Mira Costa plays most of their hockey games at the Toyota sports Center located in El Segundo, California. They played on the Olympic ice rink at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27 at the Sports center.
Parents observe the game from the upper viewing area in the warm air conditioned area. Spectators got food and drinks from the restaurant open during the game.
The hockey rink has multiple signs and banners of companies and pictures of past Los Angeles Kings players. The Costa hockey teamed sat in the designated benches before coming out to start the second period.
Palos Verdes goalie comes out to get the puck and pass it to a defender on the team. The PV goalie didn’t have a lot of action because of play being mostly in Costa’s side of the rink.
Costa faces off with rival PV to start the 1st period of costa’s sixth game on Wednesday, April 27. Costa has had pretty bad luck throughout the season with injuries and close game that have fallen in their opponents favor.
Costa and PV go over to their benches to get a drink of water and talk with their coaches to hope to get the win. PV was leading the Mustangs 6-1 going into the third period on Wednesday, April 27.
Costa races to get back as PV moves up the ice and into Costa territory. Palos Verdes was constantly attacking and scoring goals in Mira Costa’s 8-3 loss Wednesday, April 27.
Mira Costa goalie sits in defeat as PV scores yet another goal increasing their already sizable lead. Mira Costa didn’t have their starting goalie which could have been the reason why PV was able to score a total of 8 goals.
Tempers begin to flare as Freshman, Ethan Light, gets into an altercation with another PV player. Referees were able to break up the teams and decided on the decision to send the PV player to the penalty box because of his provoking.
The Costa goalie stands at their end of the ice as Costa is able to get an uncommon attack on PV’s side of the ice. Costa was able to score only 3 goals in 3 periods in their loss on Wednesday, April 27 at the Toyota Sports Center.
