Mira Costa’s girls tennis team fell to Dana Hills High School 11-7 at a home game on Wednesday. Sophomore Olga Nagy and freshman Kacey Feng helped to keep Costa in the lead.
In doubles Nagy and Feng won two sets 6-1 and 7-5. Sophomore Kiki Daviduk and senior Elena Olsen also won one set 6-2. Sophomore singles player Audrey Vo won two sets 7-5 and 6-3.
“We played really well against Dana Hills today,” Olsen said. “I am proud of everyone who played and worked to make the match competitive.”
Costa, now 3-2 overall, will play against Chadwick at home tomorrow. Although the Mustangs left with a loss everyone played well and worked to match Dana Hills, said Feng.
“Costa played very well yesterday,” Feng said. “It showed in our results towards the beginning. I think everyone tried their hardest and the match was a great experience.”
