Boys Water Polo places tenth in AFC Tournament

Mira Costa’s boys water polo team placed tenth on Friday and Saturday in the America’s Finest City Tournament in San Diego against Oceanview, Carlsbad, Los Osos, Poway, and Damien on Friday and Saturday.

Costa defeated Oceanview 17-1 but fell to Carlsbad 6-5 on Friday. On Saturday, Costa defeated Los Osos 7-6, Poway 13-9, but was defeated by Damian 9-6. Junior attacker Colin Le were Costa’s top performers throughout the weekend, scoring goals on offense, and playing stellar defense.

Mira Costa will next take on Foothill this Friday in an away game. Costa is now 7-3 overall, and their record in Bay League is 2-0.
