Mira Costa’s boys water polo team was defeated by Foothill 10-3 on Friday in an away game with a top performance by senior attacker Troy Gleason.
The Mustangs struggled defensively throughout the game, and turned over the ball too much according to senior goaltender Paul Matt. Costa was very passive and were not aggressive on the ball.
Costa, now 7-4 overall, will play at Peninsula on October 3. According to Matt, Costa needs to work on playing solid defense throughout the entirety of a game.
