The Mustang wrestling team traveled to Ayala High School from Dec. 21-22 for the Mann Classic, a tournament comprised of forty-eight men divided into fourteen weight classes.
High quality wrestling made it difficult to place in this tournament. The Mustangs faced yet another obstacle as they missed many of their star wrestlers including seniors Justin Tam and Weston Carico and junior Ryan Barney. However, senior Joey Beck competed and fought hard for the Mustangs, finishing as the top wrestler.
The boys wrestle their first home match of the season on Jan. 6. They will take on the defending Bay League Champs, West Torrance, in the West Dual.
