Mira Costa’s boys varsity water polo team won, 8-7 against Palos Verdes High School at Mira Costa on October 10. Hudson Carter was one of the top performers throughout the whole game making critical shots for the Mustangs as well as goalie, Garret Allen who made the game winning goal.
Senior, Alex Nahabad, Hudson Carter, Colin Le, Jonathan Escobedo, and Garrett Allen helped team to victory with their goals. Nahabad scoring first and fourth goal, Carter scoring second and fifth, Le scoring third and sixth, Escobedo seventh goal and goalie Allen with the final goal.
“I feel like we played well because of our mindset going into the game,” Carter said. “We got pumped up and knew that we needed to win the game.”
The next game the varsity boys water polo team will play is the Torrance Plunge at West Torrance High School at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12. The boys are expected to work hard and hopefully come home with a win according to carter.
“We are expecting to win of course but we will see how we play,” Carter said. “I am hoping I play well and can help the team to a victory.”
