The Mira Costa girls volleyball team swept Peninsula high school 3-0 on Tuesday at Peninsula high school. The top performers of the match included junior Memphis Glasgow for countless hits and senior Kelly Barry for her numerous digs and passes.
Costa quickly became an offensive threat in the match leading them to win the first set 25-11. The Mustangs continued to dominate the match, allowing them to win the second set 25-16 and the third set 25-23.
“I think as a team we did a good job of keeping the ball under control on our side and having limited errors as a whole,” said junior Rochelle Scott.
The Mustangs’ are currently 6-3 overall and 4-1 in Bay League and the team looks to continue their success on Thursday when they face up against Palos Verdes high school on their home court.
“We have been doing some physical conditioning lately to try to increase our physicality even during the season,” said Coach Austin Rester
