The Costa girls’ water polo team traveled to Capistrano Valley High School on Jan. 4 to earn a 22-2 victory. Costa’s record now stands at 7-2.
The Mustangs led the entire game. They scored 10 goals before the end for the first period and only continued to add points as the game progressed.
Seniors Marisa Purcell and Natalie Lavinsky led the team’s offense and scored the majority of Costa’s goals. Another strong player was senior Bianca Magno, who played in goal for the first half of the game.
Costa will next play on Jan. 7 at Santa Monica High School.
