Homecoming Week continued during lunch today in the Mustang Mall, as Homecoming princes and princess attempted to knock down a water bottle with a tennis ball inside a pair of tights that were on their head and the other partner had to chug a water bottle.

Seniors Toby Kamish and Shelby Friedman won today’s game. Each Homecoming pair dressed up as popular duos, including Hugh Hefner and the Playboy bunny, and Phineas and Ferb.

“I think today’s game really proved how Toby and I’s best friendship can rival through the bottle flipping pantyhose competition,” Homecoming princess Shelby Friedman said. “We were in perfect synchronization with my knocking over the water bottles and his chugging and flipping.

Costa students and staff participated in “Tacky Tourist Tuesday,” by wearing costumes such as hawaiian shirts and sandals. Tomorrow, students are encouraged to dress up for “Class War Wednesday.” Freshmen are to wear black, sophomores are to wear gold or yellow, juniors are to wear green and seniors are to wear white, to show school spirit during tomorrow’s pep rally.

“Homecoming has meant a lot to me since I’ve been involved with the pep rally and the parade every year since I was a freshmen,” Friedman said. “My involvement with dance team has solidified my passion for homecoming week and everything it stands for, and it truly is something special.”
