The annual pep rally took place today at Waller Stadium as a part of homecoming week, the rally featured dances, a relay race and more activities.
Costa’s Dance and Cheerleading teams and this year’s Homecoming Court performed choreographed performances during the rally. For the Homecoming Court’s dance, princes wore a cheerleading outfit and the princesses wore football uniforms.
“The pep rally is a super fun way to show school pride,” senior Homecoming prince Liam Cook said. “As the court, we go all out for school spirit and try to show Costa that school pride is essential and super fun. Dancing at the pep rally was extremely nerve racking but also a ton of fun.”
Costa students participated in “Class War Wednesday”, where all the classes wore a specific color. Freshmen wore black, sophomores wore yellow or gold, juniors wore green and seniors wore white. Tomorrow’s theme is “Throwback Thursday”, where students will dress in 60’s and 70’s type clothing.
“To me, Homecoming means the coming together of our school and creating an environment of pure school spirit,” Cook said. “After homecoming, the school spirit is definitely more active throughout campus.”
