Mira Costa’s girls basketball team lost to the Bishop Montgomery Knights in a nail biting game on Jan. 7. The Mustang’s third loss of four games finished with a final score of 59-54.
Senior Kylie Nakamine led the Mustangs with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Sophomore Ashley Reese kept the game close when she came off the bench and contributed a 15 point and 11 rebound double-double.
The Mustangs host West Torrance High School on Jan. 11. With a record of 9-6, the Mustangs seek to break their losing streak. The Costa team would appreciate support from spectators as they attempt to defeat a similar team.
