The Mira Costa boys soccer team swept Morningside high school 12-2 on Jan. 16 at Morningside high school. The top performers of the match included junior midfielder Josh Gaudiano for three goals and an assist.
Junior Max Haber along with senior Michael Antich were both able to contribute two goals each allowing the Mustangs to secure their lead. Morningside’s weak defense was not able to resist Costa’s offensive force which led the Mustangs to a 12-2 win.
“My favorite thing about being on the team is just representing Mira Costa as a whole,” senior Sebastian Cisneros said. “I think it is really important to represent your school no matter what you do.”
The Mustangs are currently 9-2-2 overall and 3-0-0 in Bay League. Costa will play West Torrance high school on Thursday, Jan. 18 on the road.
“I like playing with the team and getting to know different players and learn different ideas to make the game much better for us,” Cisneros said.
