Costa boys basketball team fell to the Inglewood Sentinels 60-56 in an away game on Feb, 6th. The game was close throughout with Costa, and Inglewood converting on fastbreaks and on set offense.
The Mustangs kept the game close throughout, but were not able to slow down the Inglewood offense. Inglewood played good defense in the second half against the Mustangs making it difficult for Costa to score on offense. Costa eventually fell to the Sentinels 60- 56.
“We had a lot of success getting to the basket and kicking it out for threes, we got to the free throw line a lot last night, which helped us out a lot,” junior Parker Lynch said.
The Mustangs now 12-13 overall and 5-4 in league play will face the rival Redondo Seahawks in their last regular game of the season. Costa will face the Seahawks at home on Thursday Feb 8th. The Mustangs are looking for a win in their final regular season game.
“Tomorrow we need to play mistake free and leave everything out on the court against Redondo,” Lynch said.
