Mira Costa’s girls soccer defeated Inglewood 7-0 at home on Feb. 5, keeping Inglewood scoreless throughout the entire game with a strong defense.
Costa won out against Inglewood with help from junior Jojo Hoffman. Costa started with an early lead in scoring before halftime and continued to create plays, ultimately ending in a victory.
“We worked together out of the back and put our chances away in the first half,” Hoffman said. “This game prepared us for our last league game against Redondo on Wednesday.”
The Mustangs, now 12-3 overall and 2-2 in Bay League, will go on to play Redondo Union High School at Redondo in one of their last Bay League games of the season.
“I thought we played really well against Inglewood,” sophomore Chloe Hartley said. “This was a great way to get good practice in for our upcoming game.”
