Costa Baseball Defeats Lawndale 6-0

The Mustangs’ Baseball team defeated Lawndale High School 6-0 in an El Segundo Tournament game. The Mustangs’ top performer Jared Karros pitched a no hitter in his 5 innings on the mound.

The Mustangs had strong offensive and defensive play throughout the whole game. The Mustangs hitters lit up the opposing pitchers in the 2nd and 5th innings and played great defense throughout the whole game.

“Jared did really well and threw a lot of strikes. Our defense backed him up the entire game and performed well.” senior Chris Penna said.

Costa Baseball is now 3-0 overall and will face the West Torrance High School Warriors in a home game at on March 6.

“We just have to throw strikes and have better approaches at the plate,” Penna said.
