The Mira Costa boys volleyball team fell short to Palos Verdes, getting swept 3-0 by the Seakings on Tuesday, March 27 at Palos Verdes High School. The top performer of the match included junior libero Lauch Farris took control of the back row and led the team with digs.

Costa started out strong but was unable to capitalize in their sets due to the Seakings shutting them down with their blocks and digs. The Mustangs had a solid defensive game led by Farris but it wasn’t enough to secure a win against Palos Verdes.

“Our weakness was consistency, we should have been more consistent on all parts of the game to keep the pressure on them,” sophomore Jack Walmer said.

The Mustangs’ overall record is now 4-1, Bay League 2-1 and their next opponent is Inglewood on Thursday, March 29 at home. The team is improving everyday and is focusing on fundamentals to better there game according to Coach Avery.

“We have a lot to improve on like consistent serving and smart attacks and I am really excited to see the team develop their skills even more,” Coach Avery said.
