As local women shop in downtown Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, they can’t help but stop and shop at the new clothing  store, Hermosa Girl.

Hermosa Girl is a relatively new clothing boutique in Hermosa Beach that offers women bohemian inspired work-out attire. The store’s athletic wear provides customers with the perfect clothing to exercise in, but the extreme prices make it hard for women of all ages to indulge in the stylish garments.

The owners of Hermosa Girl strive to give local women a combination of athletic and casual clothing that fits the laid-back lifestyle of the Beach Cities. Since the store opened in July in Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, it has launched a website and a Facebook account designed to assist shoppers with finding the perfect clothing. Additionally, the store provides clothing from Free People, Alo and Beyond Yoga.

There is a significant emphasis on athletic wear throughout the store and a wide range of options, as the clothing is made for different types of sports. On the boutique’s website, customers can find a large assortment of yoga pants, sports bras and comfortable shirts designed for work-out sessions.

Hermosa Girl doesn’t just supply residents with athletic wear; the store also provides casual clothing for everyday events. With the diverse range of apparel in Hermosa Girl, women can find anything from casual wear to workout clothes when they step into the store. Unfortunately, the clothes are only fit for standard body sizes and are not offered in a variety of sizes.

As customers walk into Hermosa Girl, they are greeted with a mellow atmosphere and modern decorations. The store’s green potted plants, cozy furniture and brick walls make customers feel welcomed.

One unique feature of this boutique is that it promotes female empowerment in the South Bay, as it only supplies clothing for women and not men as well. The store’s feminist perspective allows local women to successfully shop for clothes that are comfortable and stylish. Unlike other local stores, Hermosa Girl’s objective is to support women by giving them a safe space to express themselves through clothing that best fits their style and body.

The only downside to Hermosa Girl is the extreme pricing of the clothing. The quality and variety of the attire is impressive but are ultimately overshadowed by the high prices of the clothes. For example, a basic sweater costs $58. These absurd prices unfortunately disappoint women, but for those who can afford it, the clothing store is perfect.

Despite the unreasonable prices, the high-quality garments successfully attract women. There are various types of material that the clothes are made with, such as cotton, polyester and spandex, but all of the attire is incredibly comfortable and relaxed. The active wear conforms to most women’s body types and is perfect to work out in due to its breathable and stylish material.

Overall, Hermosa Girl provides the ideal attire for any casual event, whether it be a night out on the town, an athletic event or a day trip to the beach cities. The stylish products and gaining popularity of this boutique ensure that it will be around for years to come.

Hermosa Girl is located at 1138 Hermosa Avenue in Hermosa Beach and 1207 Manhattan Avenue. For more information on clothing prices, visit hermosagirlboutique.com.
