Costa’s Vocal Ensemble presented its annual holiday caroling performance on Dec. 8 in downtown Manhattan Beach to spread holiday cheer.
The choir students met at Metlox Plaza and in octets they went from shop to shop singing carols, such as “Caroling Caroling,” ”Here We Come A-Caroling,” and “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” throughout the afternoon.
“It was a lot of fun to bond as a choir and to give back to the community,“ choir student and sophomore Kieran Malik said. “I enjoyed getting to share the music we have worked so hard on and to get in the holiday spirit.”
According to Costa Choir Teacher Michael Hayden, the choir participated in this event in order to share their music with the community and perform independently.
“The purpose of this is to provide music during the holiday season here in downtown Manhattan Beach,” Hayden said. “It also gives the students a chance to perform the music on their own without musical supervision.
