The Mira Costa girls’ basketball team suffered a demoralizing 48-31 loss on Jan. 14 to the Redondo Union Seahawks at home.
The Mustangs struggled to execute offensively all game. Senior Kylie Nakamine led the team with a contribution of 13 points, but, with only one double digit scorer, the Mustangs were unable to defeat their rivals.
Costa travels to Harbor City on Jan. 15 to take on the Narbonne Gauchos, ranked 25th in the nation.
