Mira Costa boys lacrosse won 10-5 in a game that was cut short because of the weather at St. Francis High School on March 5. The top performer of the game was senior Max Geoghegan. who scored four goals.
The Mustangs started the game slow but managed to score two goals in a row. When the second quarter began, the boys gained momentum scoring five consecutive goals. The third quarter started but was ended short because of a thunder and lighting storm, ending game 10-5.
“We were challenged in the first quarter, but once we found our rhythm in the second half we really ran away with the game,” Geoghegan.
Mira Costa is scheduled to next play at Culver City High School on March 7.
“We defeated Culver City in the preseason so we are expected to bring home the win against them on Thursday,” Geoghegan said.
