Costa Vice Principal, Deborah Hofreiter and College and Career Center Counselor, Ruthie Robles informed parents on senior year expectations and beginning the college process.
“[I would recommend parent attend] to help their students choose their classes for the following year,” Hofreiter said. “We talked about AP classes, SAT & ACT, selection of colleges, SoCal Regional Occupational Program where students can get job training while they figure what they want to do in life.”
There were around 60 parents who attended. The purpose of the event is to inform parents about their students upcoming year and speak about beginning the college process.
“[My parents attended] to get information for my senior year, and see what they need to do as parents to help me” Junior Alyssa Toyooka said. “It’s good for other parents to know how to keep their kids on track for the future.”
