Spring Signing Day

Parents, students and staff came together in the Mustang Mall yesterday to honor seven seniors who committed to colleges for their respective sports during the third signing day of the year.

The seniors being honored included Ashley Brownsberger for rugby, Carson Carey for basketball, Cy Chittenden for cross country and track, Cole Gamble for cross country and track, JP Soares for cross country and track, Adam Sevier for volleyball and Cristian Panaro for baseball.

“It felt so amazing sitting there signing to do what I love for the next four years,” senior Ashley Brownsberger said. “I have put in so much work and time into rugby and I am beyond excited to play for Michigan State.”

On Signing Day athletes officially committed to colleges from which they have received an official offer to attend and play their sports. Students who signed committed to the following schools; Michigan State, University of Puget Sound, The University of Chicago, Cal Poly, University of San Diego and Lewis and Clark.

“It was great to be able to celebrate all of the hard work paying off with my friends and family,” senior Adam Sevier said.
