On Jan. 22 the Mira Costa girls basketball team defeated Marlborough with a score of 56-45.
The Mustangs shot 28 percent from the field but finished the game with a decisive victory. Senior Kylie Nakamine led the team with 15 points and corralled 6 rebounds. Senior Jenna Stephanoff added 10 points and 8 rebounds to contribute to the win.
On Jan. 25, the Mustangs travel to Palos Verdes Estates to take on the 10-9 Bay League Seakings. The girls hope to improve their current record of 13-8.
