Mira Costa swim team competed in their second duel meet of the season at Palos Verdes High School on April 11.

I think Costa did a good job overall because some kids were able to get times that qualified [them] for CIF,” sophmore Maiken Pardon said.

Girls Varsity won 112 to 58 and Boys Varsity won with 123 to 47. Seniors Kai Bathurst and Alex Crisera made autmatic times for CIF. Bathurst qualified for 500 freestyle and Crisera for 100 backstroke. Many swimmers also made CIF consideration times at the meet.

“I am happy with how the girls varsity did [because we won by a lot],” Pardon said.

Next, Costa will go against Redondo at home on April 18.  According to Padon, the team can improve by getting more people to have times that qualify for CIF.

“I am looking forward to competing against our rivals Redondo at the next meet,” Pardon said.
