On Jan. 18 the Mira Costa girls basketball team hosted a Bay League opponent, the Leuzinger Olympians. The Mustangs won by a landslide with a final score of 72-21.
Throughout the game, the Mustangs were led by great guard play. Senior Kylie Nakamine contributed 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steels. The Mustangs increased their win margin with assistance from freshman Camille Mills who had 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 steels.
Now, the Mustangs have a record of 11-8 overall and 2-1 in the Bay League. They travel to play the 12-8 Peninsula Panthers on Jan. 21.
