The Mustangs won with a score of 4-2.
“The team played amazon and I think since we were bale to score in the first inning, it gave us the momentum for the rest of the game,” pitcher Katie Katsuyama said.
The Mustangs’ record comes to 18-13 and this is their second win of the tournament. They will play Diamond Ranch in the third round on May 9 at Diamond Ranch High School.
“It feels really good to go to the quarterfinals and I am looking forward to more games with my teammates and hopefully, a championship,” Katsuyama said.
