On Jan. 25, the Mira Costa girls basketball team visited a Bay League opponent, the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. With a final score of 46-42, the Mustang victory moves Costa to one game outside of first place in Bay League.
Senior Kylie Nakamine led the Mustangs with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Joelle Herron also assisted in the win with a 12 point-11 rebound double double.
The Mustangs currently hold a record of 14-8. They host the West Torrance Warriors on Jan. 28 with hopes to lead the league.
