Mira Costa Girls Tennis hit hard in their first league matches on Tuesday September 10, taking the win over Harvard-Westlake 13 to 5.
The Mustangs traveled to Studio City to compete in their doubles matches. Junior Kasey Feng and sophomore Sydney Vo won all of their sets, earning 3 points for their overall team score. Seniors Amanda Scott and Olga Nagy won 2 out of the 3 sets, contributing 2 points to Costa’s overall score. Costa defeated the Wolverines to keep their winning streak alive.
“I think the group played amazing and we have a very special team this year,” Peyton Douglas said.
The Mustangs will face Dana Hills for their first home match on September 11.
“I’m looking forward to my doubles match against Dana Hills, since I’ll be playing with Olga again,” Scott said. “From our last match together we plan to play with more intensity and have better communication.”
