Costa’s Associated Student Body hosted its first annual Club Day of the school year during lunch today in the Mustang Mall, where student organizations sell food to raise money for their causes.
ASB encouraged students to participate in club day with social media posts and daily announcements in the school bulletin. Different booths sold food items, including In-N-Out burgers, Chick-fil-A nuggets and Beckers Bakery cookies.
“Club day is a fun event where clubs can advertise in hopes to raise money,” ASB President Kate Condren said. “It is really fun for students to buy good food that isn’t usually supplied at school.”
ASB hosts club day every quarter, giving clubs lots of opportunities to raise money and spread the word, according to Condren. The next club day will take place in early December.
“I was really excited to be able to eat In-N-Out for lunch,” senior Kali Mashayekhi said. “It is nice to have other options than what is served in the cafeteria for lunch.”
