Costa students and staff gathered on the bleachers of Waller Stadium after second period today for this year’s Homecoming pep rally.
The rally began with the captains from various sports teams introducing themselves and giving updates on their achievements thus far in the season. Afterwards, the classes and teachers battled each other in a relay race involving wrapping presents and racing on scooters.
“The entire week has been so fun,” senior Homecoming court member Kate Condren said. “The court and I have spent hours rehearsing the dance and filming the video, I am so grateful for this bonding experience.”
The dance and cheer teams performed their annual dance together with the Homecoming Court finishing off with their own dance in center field. After controversy of not being able to perform a dance, Homecoming court combined with dance team to keep the tradition going.
“I am so glad the pep rally ended up coming together just like how we wanted,” senior Homecoming court member Theron Mandeville said. “There was a lot of confusion and plenty of late nights at Costa, but we toughed it out. I could
