Vocal Ensemble performs at Biola University’s Festival

Costa’s Vocal Ensemble traveled to Biola University on Nov. 1 for its twelfth performance at the annual Biola University Choral Festival alongside other student choirs.

The Vocal Ensemble, which consists of over 30 stu- dents, is led by director Michael Hayden and co-director Mark McCormick. The students performed the songs “Alleluia,” by Jacob Naverud; “Sanctus,” by Darrell Church, and “L’Ultima Canzone” by composer Paolo Tosti and arranged by Randy Haldemanby.

“Their performance was breathtaking,” Hayden said. “It actually brought me to tears. The audience burst into applause, and after the festival the adjudicator shared with me that she was extremely impressed.”
