Girls Soccer
Mira Costa girls soccer is ready to kick off their season on Dec. 4 against Santa Monica High School.
Last season, the girls went 9-0-1 in Bay League, clenching the league title. They finished second place in both CIF and State finals for the first time in school history.
“I’m excited to see how we do this year,” senior captain Emilee Ray said! “I hope we come out on top in my last season at Mira Costa.”
The team is hoping to make school history by winning CIF this season.
Boys Soccer
Mira Costa boys soccer is gearing up for another season, with their first game on Dec. 3 against Torrance.
Last year, the boys went undefeated in their regular season matches, winning the Bay League title. They fell to Woodrow Wilson in the second round of CIF.
“We are looking forward to another season of hard competition in the Bay League,” senior Dillan Argue said. “It is all to prepare to hopefully go far in CIF.”
The team is hoping to win another Bay League title and pass the second round of CIF this season.
